Jonathan Bates, President of Addicted To Fitness, Inc., has been in the health and fitness business for over twenty five years. He worked in the Northern Virginia area for a large group of clubs voted top ten in the country. He has worked in every aspect of the industry. He has been involved in sales, marketing and managing as well functioning as a fitness coordinator. He moved to Naples in the winter of 1996 worked with Naples Fitness Center then moved to Powerhouse Gym to open and manage facility. Additionally, he was involved in opening the fitness center at Fiddlers Creek, a large upscale country club development in Naples. While at Fiddlers Creek he acted as Fitness Coordinator and Head Personal Trainer.
His mission is to coach people and help them improve their relationship with their health and well being. As our life spans increase, his desire is to help his clients have an increased quality of life through exercise and proper nutrition.
Certifications include: ACE (American Council on Exercise), ISSA (International Sports Science Association), AAA (American Aerobic Association), Madd Dog Athletics and The American Heart Association (CPR). Member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association.
Patricia Hernandez has over 20 years experience in the fitness industry. She started as an aerobic instructor and 13 years ago became an NPC judge. She was diagnosed type II diabetes at the age of 8. She trains for all fitness levels and specializes with diabetics, disoriented eating problem, mothers after labor and clients who want to lose fat and gain muscle.
Pepper began her education and career in Exercise and Wellness 28 years ago with her studies in Exercise Physiology at both Oakland University and Purdue. In 1986 she was one of the first Fitness Specialists certified by the Aerobics Research Institute in Dallas, Tx. She owned and operated her own Exercise Studio for ten years in Michigan before relocating to Naples in 1992. Her resume includes designing and supervising corporate exercise programs for General Motors along with public speaking, providing education to GM employees . Besides seeing private clientele as a Personal Trainer she also has developed and oversees an Employees Wellness program at a company here in Naples, Florida. Pepper is currently completing a culinary education at The International Culinary School at the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale so that she can offer her clients an “expanded menu” of services. Along with nutritional guidance, as a Private Chef she hopes to conduct cooking classes and prepare meals for her clients as well.
With her clients, she stresses Wellness, as opposed to fitness and believes the ability to manage stress, proper nutrition, good sleep habits and making time for joy is equally as important as physical strength, agility and co-ordination.
Peppers personal exercise history includes 25 yrs. of running, weight training, competitive ballroom dancing, golf and scuba diving. She lives with her husband, Bart, and their two dogs.
Lindsey Cooper is a Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Yoga Instructor. Nutrition and fitness has been a part of her life since the mid-nineties. She realized in the mid-nineties that her lifestyle and habits at the time weren’t going to be enough to keep her healthy. Her weight was creeping up, fatigue was becoming an issue and her mood swings were becoming bigger and longer. She knew she was going to have to make changes if she was going to stay healthy and active. She began teaching fitness classes, and working with friends doing personal training. Cleaning up her diet and eating habits were the last and hardest piece of the puzzle to put into action.
